ABSTRACT
In the pursuit of energy efficient materials, vanadium dioxide (VO2) based smart coatings have gained much attention in recent years. For window applications, VO2 thin films should be fabricated at low temperature to reduce cost commercial fabrication and solve compatibility problems. Meanwhile, thermochromic performance with high luminous transmittance solar modulation ability, as well effective UV shielding function has become most important developing strategy for ideal windows. this work, facile Cr2O3/VO2 bilayer on quartz glasses were designed by magnetron sputtering temperatures ranging from 250 350 °C compared typical growth (>450 °C). The bottom Cr2O3 layer not only provides a structural template (R), but also serves an antireflection improving transmittance. It was found that deposition resulted dramatic enhancement ability (56.4%) improvement (26.4%) when single-layer coating. According optical measurements, structure exhibits excellent performances enhanced (ΔTsol = 12.2%) (Tlum,lt 46.0%), which makes good balance between ΔTsol Tlum windows applications. As UV-shielding properties, more than 95.8% radiation (250-400 nm) can blocked out structure. addition, visualized energy-efficient effect modeled heating beaker water using infrared imaging method with/without coating glass.
