ABSTRACT
In preclinical and clinical research, to destroy cancers, particularly those located in deep tissues, is still a great challenge. Photodynamic therapy photothermal are promising alternative approaches for tissue cancer curing. Black phosphorus (BP)-based nanomaterials, with broad UV-vis near-infrared absorbance excellent effect, have shown potential biomedical applications. Herein, biocompatible therapeutic platform, chlorin e6 (Ce6)-decorated BP nanosheets (NSs), has been developed fluorescence thermal imaging-guided photodynamic synergistic treatment. Taking advantage of the relatively high surface area exfoliated NSs, PEG-NH2-modified NSs (BP@PEG) loaded Ce6 photosensitizer. The resulted BP@PEG/Ce6 not only good biocompatibility, physiological stability, tumor-targeting property but also exhibit enhanced conversion efficiency (43.6%) compared BP@PEG (28.7%). addition, could efficiently generate reactive oxygen species because release photosensitizer, which verified by vitro studies. vivo imaging suggests that can accumulate tumor targetedly through permeability retention effect. Both studies suggest be nanotheranostic agent synergetic photothermal/photodynamic therapy.
