ABSTRACT
IrM (M = Fe, Co, and Ni) alloy nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized in a solution by employing butyllithium as reduction agent oleylamine stabilizing agent, the alumina-supported bimetallic tested for selective hydrogenation of various substituted nitroaromatics. The relevant characterizations including X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectra, transmission electron microscopy, diffuse reflectance fourier transform infrared with CO probes confirm that NPs are uniform alloys. obtained IrM/Al2O3 catalysts show significantly enhanced catalytic activity well selectivity relative to individual monometallic Ir catalysts, indicating unique property nanostructures. Among these IrNi/Al2O3 illustrate highest Calculations density functional theory suggest structures IrNi facilitate reactant adsorption product desorption, resulting performance.
