ABSTRACT
Layer-by-layer (LBL) self-assembly based on natural polysaccharides is drawing significant attention in various applications. However, its application fertilizers limited. In this study, LBL electrostatic technology was employed to prepare an environment-responsive fertilizer with polyelectrolyte layers of chitosan and lignosulfonate deposited polydopamine-coated ammonium zinc phosphate. The morphology the evaluated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission atomic force microscopy. composition process were characterized elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV–vis absorption zeta potential thermal X-ray photoelectron inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy. Excellent pH-responsive behavior observed nutrient release results. alkaline medium at room temperature, rate can be clearly accelerated compared that acidic neutral media. Moreover, pot experiments showed effectively promote plant growth. environment-friendly control avoid excessive nutrients, showing promising applications modern green sustainable agriculture horticulture.
