ABSTRACT
A hybrid composite of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and porous silicon microparticles (pSiMPs) was developed applied for the computed tomography (CT) scanning lungs as an image-guided localization agent. We confirmed grafting AgNPs on oxidized pSiMPs template using various analytical equipment, including a electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The showed high CT contrast intensity (>1000 HU) that enabled us to produce view images lungs. In addition, it ability maintain strong signal at injected area rabbit's lungs, up hour, without spreading. lack toxicity immune response indicated could be fully utilized new agent scans lung cancer surgery.
