ABSTRACT
There is an intense search for natural compounds that can inhibit the oligomerization and fibrillation of α-synuclein (α-Syn), whose aggregation key to development Parkinson's disease (PD). Rosa damascena a medicinal herb widely used in Middle Eastern food, ceremonies, perfumes. The known contain many different polyphenols. Here we investigated existence α-Syn inhibitors R. extract. Different HPLC fractions extract were assessed toxicity assays. most active led formation more oligomers but with less SH-SY5Y cells, according MTT LDH LC–MS analysis identified gallic acid, kaempferol 3-glucoside, kaempferol-3-O-β-rutinoside, quercetin which subsequently shown be strong inhibitors. Our results highlight benefits combat PD at population level.
