ABSTRACT
There is a strong demand for developing tunable and facile routes synthesizing gas-sensitive semiconducting compounds. The concept of micro- nanoparticles metallic compounds in process, which relies on liquid metals, presented here. This liquid-based ultrasonication procedure within additional elements (In, Sn, Zn) are incorporated into Ga that sonicated secondary solvent. We investigate metal sonication dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) water to show their impact the size, morphology, crystal structure particulated products. synthesized materials annealed responses model reducing (H2) oxidizing (NO2) gas species. preparation process DMSO gives rise predominantly monoclinic Ga2O3 crystals favorable sensing, while emergence rhombohedral phases from led inactive samples. ease tunability without hazardous precursors during synthesis demonstrated. route here can be uniquely employed designing engineering on-demand functional sensing applications.
