ABSTRACT
The dengue virus (DENV) infection commonly triggers threatening seasonal outbreaks all around the globe (estimated yearly infections are in order of 100 million, combining viral serotypes), testifying need for early detection to facilitate disease management and patient recovery. laboratory-based testing procedures detecting DENV enough challenged by resourced settings that result inevitable cost penalty unwarranted delay obtaining test results due distance-related factors with respect patient's location. Recognizing introduction alternative extreme point-of-care technologies may potentially mitigate this challenge largely, we develop here a multiplex paper/polymer-based strip interfaces an all-in-one simple portable device, synchronizing pipeline nucleic acid isolation, isothermal amplification, colorimetric analytics as well readout four serotypes viruses 30 min from about 50 μL human blood serum high specificity sensitivity. Aligned mandatory guidelines World Health Organization, ultralow-cost is ideal dissemination at different community centers via user-friendly device interface, not only critical surveillance measure recognizing potential cocirculation across regions hyperendemic but also facilitating effective monitoring patients infected any one particular timely administration life-saving measures on need.
