ABSTRACT
MoO3-based heterogeneous catalysts prepared by dispersion of Mo-oxide species on preformed supports are highly regarded candidates for industrial light olefin metathesis. An original approach the elaboration Mo-based is presented here. Mesoporous ternary Si/Al/Mo mixed oxides in one step a nonhydrolytic sol−gel route nonaqueous medium. Taking advantage migration Mo during calcination, effective with very good textures and dispersed surface obtained, as shown XRD, XPS, TOF-SIMS characterization. The presence isolated evidenced these proposed to be precursors active metathesis propene. These new materials compare well classical wet impregnation silica−alumina ammonium heptamolybdate, eventually outperforming them at high loading.
