ABSTRACT
1-Phenyl-3-methyl-4-touloyl-5-pyrazolone (ligand) was synthesized and used to prepare an oxovanadium(IV) complex. The complex characterized by single-crystal X-ray analysis various spectroscopic techniques. of the shows that ligands are coordinated in a syn configuration each other create distorted octahedral environment around metal ion. A heterogeneous catalyst comprising hydrous zirconia synthesized, physicochemical techniques, successfully for solvent-free oxidation styrene. influence reaction parameters (percent loading, molar ratio substrate H2O2, amount catalyst, time) studied. reused three times without any significant loss catalytic activity.
