ABSTRACT
Nanocomposites based on poly(vinyl alcohol) and α-titanium phosphate were prepared by the solvent-cast method. The nanosheets homogeneously dispersed in matrix, marked property enhancements obtained. In thermogravimetric analysis, maximum decomposition temperature of nanocomposites was increased 80 °C, value reduced 60%. storage modulus tensile strength improved 64% 84%, respectively. According to microscale combustion calorimetry, ignition (89 °C) for peak heat release rate (192 significantly increased, whereas sharply (79%). are mainly due strong hydrogen bonds between nanolayers, as well molecule-movement-restricting physical-barrier effects nanolayers. addition, water content amount electrical conductivity investigated.
