ABSTRACT
The first 26R channel structure, NTHU-5, built up with two types of helical metal phosphite chains has been synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions; this novel open framework is composed both octahedral Al3+ and tetrahedral Zn2+ centers represents the example participation aluminum in a pore size over 20R; truly stack 26-membered rings instead just an opening; study successfully demonstrated that differently charged ions can form M−O−P−O−M' bonded structure ring larger than any other existing inorganic frameworks; addition, varied analogues be prepared using same approach; system NTHU-5 provided intriguingly new chemical synthesis for microporous materials interesting reaction conditions.
