ABSTRACT
Efficient tailoring of upconversion emissions in lanthanide-doped nanocrystals is great significance for extended optical applications. Here, we present a facile and highly effective method to tailor the selectivity by engineering local structure lanthanides Na(x)REF(3+x) nanocrystals. The was achieved through precisely tuning composition nanocrystals, with different [Na]/[RE] ([F]/[RE]) ratio. It found that lattice parameter as well coordination number symmetry changed composition. A significant difference red green emission ratio, which varied from 1.9 71 1.6 116, observed Na(x)YF(3+x):Yb,Er Na(x)GdF(3+x):Yb,Er respectively. Moreover, structure-dependent has been verified Na(x)YF(3+x):Yb,Tm In addition, induced Er(3+) enhanced 9 times, CaF2 shell grown epitaxially over further promoted 450 makes it superior biomarkers vivo bioimaging. These exciting findings not only offer general approach lanthanide related but also benefit multicolor displays imaging.
