ABSTRACT
The liquid-phase exfoliation of tin(II) sulfide to produce SnS nanosheets in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is reported. material characterized by Raman spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, lattice-resolution scanning transmission electron microscope imaging, and energy dispersive X-ray spectrum imaging. Quantum chemical calculations on the optoelectronic characteristics bulk 10-layer down monolayer have been performed using a quantum density functional tight-binding approach. optical properties centrifugally fractionated nanosheet dispersions were compared that predicted theory. Through centrifugation, bilayer can be produced size-selectively. scalable solution processing semiconductor key their commercial exploitation potentially an important step toward realization future electronics industry based two-dimensional materials.
