Improved Signal Processing for Mass Shifting Ions in Charge Detection Mass Spectrometry

ABSTRACT
The quality of data in charge detection mass spectrometry depends on accurate determination ion charge. While the method selective temporal overview resonant ions (STORI) has proven to be highly enabling for determining that survive variable amounts time, it assumes frequency exactly matches being used calculation. Any mismatches result low estimates. To address this, misSTORI was developed correct these discrepancies. This can significantly reduce measurement errors samples with unstable masses. As an example, approach eliminate a 5.7% error VP3-only AAV capsid shifts 25 ppm mass.
