ABSTRACT
Thermophysical properties of the ionic liquid (IL) [EMIM][B(CN)4] (1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetracyanoborate) were investigated both by conventional techniques and surface light scattering (SLS) at atmospheric pressure. The density was measured between (283.15 363.15) K with a vibrating U-tube densimeter. An Abbe refractometer used for measurement refractive index in range from to 313.15) K. Self-diffusion coefficients cation anion nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy (273.15 318.15) interfacial tension obtained pendant drop technique 297.04 Based on this datum temperature dependence density, all relevant temperatures estimated via an appropriate prediction model. For IL studied within present work, quantity directly accessible SLS low ratio dynamic viscosity tension. Combining results data methods, could be determined 303.15) higher temperatures, measurements combined allowed simultaneous determination (313.15 Besides comparison literature [EMIM][B(CN)4], influence variation [EMIM]-based ILs thermophysical is discussed. It shown that are mainly affected distinct charge delocalization anion.
