ABSTRACT
Citrus sinensis grafted on C. limonia produces a considerable number of compounds that are not common in both plants developed from germination seeds. The chemical profile scion and rootstock differ notably for absence the form flavonoids coumarins containing C5 prenyl groups attached to carbon atoms aromatic heterocyclic systems or oxygen. Only linear pyranocoumarins xanthyletin xanthoxyletin were found scion. This observation indicates prenylated once biosynthesized roots could have been translocated other organs. Xylella fastidiosa colonizes xylem causing diseases several economically important crops such as citrus variegated chlorosis (CVC). A flavonoids, coumarins, alkaloids, dihydrocinnamic acid derivative, anacardic acid, triterpenes, limonoids tested vitro activity growth fastidiosa. Azadirachtin was most active. Hesperidin, which occurs great amounts cells mesophyll affected leaves with CVC, showed moderate suggesting it can act good barrier small-size colonies X.
