The synthesis and characterization of the first stable trialkyl(difluoroamino)silane, R3SiNF2, as well R3SiNHF R3SiN(CH3)F in moderate yields are reported. (difluoroamino)silane has promise a new synthon for introduction -NF2 group into variety electrophilic inorganic organic substrates.
