ABSTRACT
The condensation reaction of d-maltose to free radicals the series tris(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)methyl (TTM) and tris(perchlorophenyl)methyl (PTM) has been described for first time. new persistent 1 2 are very stable have characterized by EPR. Their cyclic voltammograms show a quasi-reversible process in cathode, being reduced corresponding anions, with redox potentials little lower than those TTM PTM, respectively. oxidant activity is close relation their reduction potentials. Therefore, while ascorbic acid, remains unaltered.
