ABSTRACT
Interaction of poly(2-vinylpyridine)−poly(ethylene oxide) (P2VP-b-PEO) diblock copolymers with noble metal compounds in aqueous media and nanoparticle formation such systems were studied. In all cases, the characteristics micelles filled strongly depend on nature geometry compound, which, turn, influences morphology finally produced nanoparticles. Metal compound addition induces micellization even at very low pH values, where P2VP-b-PEO block are dissolved molecularly. The driving force a is coordination VP units ions, which proceeds by three different basic scenarios, depending type medium. cases containing work as “nanoreactors” for formation.
