ABSTRACT
Shaped, mesoporous carbon nanoparticles (MSP-3) were prepared in high yield by a simple direct synthesis using block copolymer surfactant as the mesopore-directing agent and colloidal crystal to mold external shape of particles. The product consisted monodisperse nanocubes uniform nanospheres or tetrapods. contained regularly spaced, cagelike mesopores. orientation cubic unit cell describing mesopore symmetry coincided with templated cube faces.
