ABSTRACT
Ordered W18O49 nanowire thin films were fabricated by Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique in the presence of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) coating. The well-organized monolayer nanowires with periodic structures can be readily used as electrochromic sensors, showing reversibly switched properties between negative and positive voltage. Moreover, electrochromism exhibit significant relationship their thickness. coloration/bleaching time was around 2 s for monolayer, which is much faster than traditional tungsten oxide nanostructures. devices display excellent stability when color switching continues, may provide a versatile promising platform device, smart windows, other applications.
