ABSTRACT
Nonenzymatic glycation of proteins sets the stage for formation advanced end-products and development chronic complications diabetes. In this report, we extended our previous methods on proteomics analysis glycated to comprehensively identify in control diabetic human plasma erythrocytes. Using immunodepletion, enrichment, fractionation strategies, identified 7749 unique peptides, corresponding 3742 proteins. Semiquantitative comparisons showed that levels a number were significantly increased diabetes erythrocyte more extensively than A motif revealed some amino acids favored others protein primary structures vicinity sites both sample types. The peptides reported here provide foundation potential identification novel markers diabetes, hyperglycemia, future studies.
