ABSTRACT
The present research examined (a) the link between personal history of residential mobility and self-concept (b) implications such a for positive affect in social interactions. Study 1 showed that self was more central to self-definition frequent movers than nonmovers, whereas collective nonmovers movers. Results from laboratory 2-week event sampling study (Studies 2 3) demonstrated felt happier when an interaction partner accurately perceived their selves, selves.
