ABSTRACT
Previous work has underscored the robust links between sanctification of marriage and marital outcomes, recent developments in literature suggest that compassionate love, which is important for intimate relationships, may act as a mediator relationship. Accordingly, current study used actor-partner interdependence models to examine relationship spiritual cognition (i.e., perceived sacred qualities marriage) satisfaction, determine whether mediated by sample older married couples (N = 64). Results revealed wives' greater were significantly positively linked satisfaction on part both spouses, these partially couples' reports love. These findings highlight importance moving beyond simply establishing existence link global markers involvement religion understanding how specific cognitions foster better quality, especially among couples.
