This study investigated the impact of relational provocation on intimate partner violence (IPV) perpetration as a function alcohol intoxication and individuals' emotion differentiation (ED; i.e., ability to differentiate between positive negative emotions). We hypothesized that acute would be associated with lower ED, such individuals demonstrate ED following while intoxicated. also an intoxication-by-ED interaction, only who were intoxicated undifferentiated perpetrate IPV.
