ABSTRACT
Organizational climate is arguably the most studied representation of social context organizations, having been examined as an antecedent, outcome, or boundary condition in virtually every domain inquiry organizational sciences. Yet there no commonly recognized, domain-independent theory that used to explain why and how climates both form affect behavior. Rather, a set theories (and literatures) housed across variety divergent content domains. As result, researchers who study one are often unaware advancements made another. This lack theoretical lingua franca for limits our ability understand what known about research-whether domain-specific domain-independent-can progress more cogent fashion. To resolve these fractures unify scholarship, this article integrates existing perspectives into singular summarizes articulates answers questions influence behavior organizations.
