Research demonstrates that there are 2 distinct facets of pride: the prosocial, achievement-oriented form pride known as authentic pride, and self-aggrandizing, egotistical hubristic pride. This research examined whether have divergent effects on delay gratification. Support was found for prediction would facilitate ability to gratification, whereas undermine it.
