ABSTRACT
Consumer-delivered services are different in many ways from traditional mental health and require unique approaches to how they studied. This includes attending benefits both consumer-providers as well program participants. A qualitative study was conducted systematically examine consumer-provider benefits. thematic analysis of interviews with 14 peer providers Friends Connections, a peer-support for persons recurring substance use disorders, conducted. Responses indicate that benefit their roles helpers, finding consistent the helper-therapy principle. Implications research policy discussed.
