ABSTRACT
As a departure from traditional situational perspectives, researchers have given increased attention to the dispositional basis of attitudes. Recently, Hepler and Albarracín (2013) introduced construct that they called "dispositional attitude" provided validity evidence for new scale--the Dispositional Attitude Measure (DAM). Although DAM was as "new" approach assessing component attitudes, there is considerable conceptual similarity between it Neutral Objects Satisfaction Questionnaire (NOSQ; Judge & Bretz, 1993; Weitz, 1952). In series 4 studies, we attempt replicate predictive empirically examined distinctiveness NOSQ. Our findings suggest does not consistently predict attitudes (e.g., toward fictional consumer products, common objects, job satisfaction) after NOSQ controlled. whole, our results assess same underlying both are valid measures
