ABSTRACT
The Integrative Psychiatric Research (iPSYCH) consortium has established a large Danish population-based Case-Cohort sample (iPSYCH2012) aimed at unravelling the genetic and environmental architecture of severe mental disorders. iPSYCH2012 is nested within entire population born between 1981 2005, including 1 472 762 persons. This paper introduces outlines key future research directions. Cases were identified as persons with schizophrenia (N=3540), autism (N=16 146), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (N=18 726) affective (N=26 380), which 1928 had bipolar disorder. Controls randomly sampled individuals (N=30 000). Within 86 189 individuals, total 57 377 least one major DNA was extracted from neonatal dried blood spot samples obtained Neonatal Screening Biobank genotyped using Illumina PsychChip. Genotyping successful for 90% sample. assessments exome sequencing, methylation profiling, metabolome vitamin-D, inflammatory neurotrophic factors are in progress. For each individual, also includes longitudinal information on health, prescribed medicine, social socioeconomic information, analogous among relatives. To best our knowledge, largest most comprehensive data source combined study aetiologies
