ABSTRACT
Abstract The self-organization of active particles is governed by their dynamic effective interactions. Such interactions are controlled the medium in which such agents reside. Here we study between a dense non-active medium. Our system consists actuated, spinning, embedded monolayer passive, or non-active, particles. We demonstrate that presence passive alters markedly properties and results reversal forces spinning from repulsive to attractive. origin due coupling stresses elasticity system. This discovery provides mechanism for interaction complex structured media, opening up opportunities tune range directionality via mechanical
