ABSTRACT
Sinc-shaped Nyquist pulses possess a rectangular spectrum, enabling data to be encoded in minimum spectral bandwidth and satisfying by essence the criterion of zero inter-symbol interference (ISI). This property makes them very attractive for communication systems since transmission rates can maximized while usage is minimized. However, most pulse-shaping methods reported so far have remained rather complex none has led ideal sinc pulses. Here method produce sinc-shaped high quality proposed based on direct synthesis rectangular-shaped phase-locked frequency comb. The highly flexible easily integrated systems, potentially offering substantial increase rates. Further, wide tunability also bring benefits many other fields, such as microwave photonics, light storage all-optical sampling. shape are they make optimal use available spectrum.
