ABSTRACT
Abstract The mechanisms by which microbial vaccines interact with human APCs remain elusive. Herein, we describe the transcriptional programs induced in DCs pathogens, innate receptor ligands and vaccines. Exposure of to influenza, Salmonella enterica Staphylococcus aureus allows us build a modular framework containing 204 transcript clusters. We use this characterize responses monocytes, monocyte-derived blood DC subsets 13 Different induce distinct based on pathogen type, adjuvant formulation APC targeted. Fluzone, Pneumovax Gardasil, respectively, activate DCs, monocytes CD1c+ highlighting specialization response Finally, signatures from individuals vaccinated Fluzone or infected influenza reveal signature adaptive immunity activation following vaccination symptomatic infections, but not asymptomatic infections. These data, offered web interface, may guide development improved
