ABSTRACT
Abstract Background and objectives Dietary control increased physical activity (PA) are recommended for patients with metabolic (dysfunction-) associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD). However, not all can sustain both exercise a healthy diet. This study explored the interaction between dietary quality, PA levels, mortality in MAFLD patients. Methods The Third National Health Nutrition Examination Survey linked data were used this study. Diet quality was assessed Healthy Eating Index (HEI). level calculated by multiply self-reported frequency its Metabolic Equivalent A high-quality diet associated. Cox proportional hazard model to explore risk factors Results In total, 3709 participants included final analysis. median follow-up time 26.2 (interquartile range 19.3–28.1) years 1549 (41.8%) deaths recorded over follow-up. multivariate regression adjust potential confounders of mortality. results showed HEI score inversely correlated all-cause ( P < 0.05). subgroup analysis stratified level, higher decreased mortality, cardiovascular-related cancer-related inactive 0.05), but these correlations present active groups. Conclusion may have different impact as lifestyle interventions MAFLD. is less individuals those levels. Sedentary require healthier
