ABSTRACT
Abstract Thymoma is the most common tumor of anterior mediastinum. Routine imaging methods such as computed tomography or magnetic resonance often lead to misdiagnosis between thymoma and other thymic abnormalities. Therefore, urgently needed develop a new diagnostic strategy. Here we identify interleukin-8 (IL-8) biomarker for auxiliary diagnosis thymoma. We find that IL-8 levels in naïve T cells are markedly elevated patients with compared those tumors. naive significantly decreased after surgical resection patients, rise again when recurs. A receiver operating characteristic curve analysis shows evaluation performs well identification, high specificities sensitivities. also observe significant clinical relevance clinicopathological features. In conclusion, our study suggests identification recurrence surveillance.
