ABSTRACT
Abstract Optical binding has recently gained considerable attention because it enables the light-induced assembly of many-body systems; however, this phenomenon only been described between directly irradiated particles. Here, we demonstrate that optical can occur outside focal spot a single tightly focused laser beam. By trapping at an interface, assemble up to three gold nanoparticles with linear arrangement which fully-occupies focus. The is efficiently scattered by alignment and interacts particles focus area, generating several discrete arc-shape potential wells half-wavelength periodicity. Those external inside arcs show correlated motion not aligned particles, but also themselves even both are illuminated. We propose optically bound back-scattered light multi-channel scattering, forming dynamic network.
