ABSTRACT
Abstract Serum from one hundred and ten breast cancer patients thirty healthy female volunteers, were prospectively collected evaluated for serum levels of Shh IL-6 using human specific enzyme-linked immunoassays. All regularly monitored event free survival (EFS) overall (OS). Overall outcome analysis was based on levels. In with progressive metastatic BC, both concentrations elevated in 44% (29 65) 63% (41 patients, respectively, at a statistically significant level [Shh (p = 0.0001) 0.0001)] compared to the low volunteers. tended increase progression lymph node positivity. High associated poor EFS OS opposite negative or lower IL-6. The mainly observed BC who had significantly higher risk early recurrence bone metastasis, worse BC. Further studies are warranted validating these biomarkers as prognostic tools larger patient cohort longer follow-up study.
