ABSTRACT
Abstract Drought transcriptome analysis of finger millet ( Eleusine coracana ) by cDNA subtraction identified drought responsive genes that have a potential role in tolerance. Through virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) related crop species, maize Zea mays ), several genes, including G-BOX BINDING FACTOR 3 GBF3 were as candidate stress response and the tolerance was studied Arabidopsis thaliana . Overexpression both EcGBF3 AtGBF3 A. resulted improved to osmotic stress, salinity addition conferring insensitivity ABA. Conversely, loss function this increased sensitivity plants stress. transgenic results also suggest sensitive can be transferring from far crops like millet. Our demonstrate imparting indicate conserved other abiotic plant species.
