ABSTRACT
Lithium ion batteries (LIBs) are going to play more important roles in electric vehicles and smart grids. The safety of the current LIBs large capacity has been remaining a challenge due existence amounts organic liquid electrolytes. Gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) have tried replace electrolyte improve their safety. However, application GPEs is handicapped by poor mechanical strength high cost. Here, we report an economic gel-type composite membrane with good based on glass fiber mats, which separator for lead-acid batteries. gelled exhibits ionic conductivity (1.13 mS cm(-1)), Li(+) transference number (0.56) wide electrochemical window. Its performance evaluated LiFePO4 cathode cycling. results show this great attraction large-capacity requiring low
