ABSTRACT
Abstract A simple yet efficient state reconstruction algorithm of linear regression estimation (LRE) is presented for quantum tomography. In this method, converted into a parameter problem model and the least-squares method employed to estimate unknown parameters. An asymptotic mean squared error (MSE) upper bound all possible states be estimated given analytically, which depends explicitly upon involved measurement bases. This analytical MSE can guide one choose optimal sets. The computational complexity LRE O ( d 4 ) where dimension state. Numerical examples show that much faster than maximum-likelihood
