ABSTRACT
We demonstrate the surface-plasmon-induced enhancement of Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET)using a model multilayer core-shell nanostructure consisting an Au core and surrounding FRET pairs, i.e., CdSe quantum dot donors S101 dye acceptors. The configuration was demonstrated to exhibit synergistic effects surface plasmon from metal plasmon-enhanced dots dye. With precise control over distance between components in nanostructure, significant improvement emission achieved by combined near-field metal, as well subsequent induced enhanced CdSe. Consequently, radius increased 7.92 nm efficiency improved 86.57% tailored plasmonic compared conventional system (22.46%) without metals.
