ABSTRACT
Abstract Umbilical cord blood (UCB) contains hematopoietic stem cells and multipotent mesenchymal useful for treatment in malignant/nonmalignant hematologic-immunologic diseases regenerative medicine. Transplantation outcome is correlated with volume (CBV), number of total nucleated (TNC), CD34+ progenitor colony forming units UCB donations. Several studies have addressed the role maternal/neonatal factors associated reconstruction potential UCB, including: gestational age, maternal parity, newborn sex birth weight, placental labor duration mode delivery. Few data exist regarding as to how time influences collection banking patterns. We retrospectively analyzed 17.936 donations collected from 1999 2011 Tuscany Apulia Cord Blood Banks. Results generalized multivariable linear mixed models showed that CBV, TNC cell were known obstetric neonatal parameters rhythmic patterns different domains frequency ranges. The present findings confirm volume, are hallmarked by ranges suggest temporal rhythms addition influence content UBC units.
