ABSTRACT
Abstract Glial damage and immune dysfunction are involved in pathogenesis of schizophrenia. However, interaction between glial schizophrenia is undefined. This study aims to compare plasma S100 calcium binding protein (S100B) levels patients healthy participants determine if markers independently related with concentration S100B patients. Forty-one thirty-three volunteers were enrolled. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used assess the concentrations inflammatory markers. We found that elevated than ( p < 0.05) negatively severity symptoms = 0.046). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed different can be as a clinical diagnostic factor (predictive value: 0.666, 0.015). Multiple linear regression length illness (Beta −0.161), regulation factors (including TGF-β1, logIL-23 logIL-10) 0.119, 0.475, 0.514) associated (Adjusted R 2 0.897, 0.001). Therefore, our results suggest possible function implicate important role autoimmune response balance
