ABSTRACT
Abstract Controllable interfacial strain can manipulate the physical properties of epitaxial films and help understand nature correlation between atomic microstructures. By using a proper design vicinal single-crystal substrate, interface in thin be well controlled by adjusting miscut angle via surface-step-terrace matching growth mode. Here, we demonstrate that LaAlO 3 (LAO) substrates with various angles 1.0°, 2.75°, 5.0° were used to tune dielectric CaCu Ti 4 O 12 (CCTO) films. A model coexistent compressive tensile strained domains is proposed nature. Our findings on self-tuning domain ratio along depending stress relaxation mechanism under this mode will open new avenue achieve CCTO high constant low loss, which critical for integration advanced heterostructures performance capacitance device applications.
