ABSTRACT
The development of novel thermal sources that control the emission spectrum and angular pattern is fundamental importance. In this paper, we investigate properties semiconductor hyperbolic metamaterials (SHMs). Our structure does not require use any periodic corrugation to provide monochromatic directional properties. We show these arise because epsilon-near-zero conditions in SHMs. dominated by effect doped quantum wells composing SHM. Furthermore, different are observed for s p polarizations, following characteristics strong anisotropy metamaterials.
