ABSTRACT
Recently, Pt-Y alloy has displayed an excellent electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), and is regarded as a promising cathode catalyst fuel cells. However, the bulk production of nanoscaled with outstanding catalytic performance remains great challenge. Here, we address challenge through simple dealloying method to synthesize nanoporous (NP-PtY) typical ligament size ~5 nm. By combining intrinsic superior special structure, NP-PtY bimetallic presents higher ORR ethanol oxidation reaction, better stability than commercial Pt/C Pt alloy. The as-made holds application potential electrocatalyst in proton exchange membrane cells due advantages facile preparation performance.
