ABSTRACT
Abstract The Tb 1−x Y x Mn 2 Ge series (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2) compounds are found to exhibit two magnetic phase transitions with decreasing temperature: from the paramagnetic state antiferromagnetic interlayer at T N inter and an structure a collinear ferrimagnetic C . Compared slight change of (409 K, 410 K 417 for 0.1 0.2 respectively), replacement leads significant decrease in 97.5 0 74.6 0.2. variation can be ascribed combination effects: (1) chemical pressure (2) dilution effect by substitution Tb. Besides, strong anisotropic magnet-volume has been detected around all Δa/a 0.125%, 0.124% 0.130% 0.2, respectively while no obvious is along c-axis. maximum entropy were −ΔS max 9.1 J kg −1 , 11.9 6.3 field 5 respectively.
