ABSTRACT
We report the ultrafast charge carrier relaxation dynamics of mercaptopropionic acid capped CdTe quantum dot (QD) using femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy by exciting particles with 400 nm laser light and monitoring transients in visible to near IR region. Cooling population different quantized states carriers were monitored following growth kinetics bleach at excitonic positions. The cooling time second first found be 150 fs 500 fs, respectively, which increases non-linearly its size. Defect QD surface play an important role carriers. Quenching studies have been carried out find trapping individual Electron hole measured 700 for state quenchers. Trapping electron determined signal 1000 quencher, respectively. times 1 ps, QD.
