ABSTRACT
A novel squaraine dye (SQ) exhibits improved fluorescence response toward protein detection by incorporation of a zwitterionic structure. With the aid dansylamide (DNSA) substituent, new probe (DNSA-SQ) remarkable selectivity in binding to site I (a specific substructure protein).
